Imagine stepping into a room where the atmosphere is charged with excitement, the clink of glasses punctuating the air, and the laughter of friends and family. At the center of it all is the unmistakable sound of a champagne cork popping, a signal that the festivities have begun. It is in these moments, surrounded by the glow of twinkling lights and the warmth of shared stories, that the true spirit of the holiday season reveals itself. In the art of celebration, there’s a subtle magic that Genuwine Cellars understands deeply, with an eye for the exceptional, we curate experiences that transcend the ordinary.

As connoisseurs of fine wine storage, we offer insights into the art of champagne preservation, a testament to our deep-rooted knowledge and history. With nearly three decades of experience, we have encountered a myriad of inquiries from both collectors and connoisseurs. Today, we aim to address these questions, sharing our expertise.
Can I store Champagne and Wine together?:
Yes, you can store champagne and wine together. The ideal temperature for a mixed cellar is around 58°F, balancing the needs of both types of wine.
Champagne Storage Temperature:
The ideal temperature for champagne storage is around 55°F (13°C) to preserve its flavor and effervescence.
Should Champagne Be Stored on Its Side?:
For champagne bottles under 3L, horizontal storage is essential. This method ensures the cork remains moist and expanded, maintaining an airtight seal. A dry cork can shrink, allowing air to seep in and potentially spoil the delicate balance of the champagne.
For bottles over 3L, store them upright to manage the higher internal pressure and maintain cork integrity.
As the festive season unfolds, we take a moment to reflect and celebrate. Our Founder and CEO, Robb Denomme, offers a warm toast to all our valued clients and friends, let’s raise our glasses, as we join him in toast.
