Can I purchase Peg hardware separately?
Apologies, but the Peg System ships with pegs pre-affixed to selected backing material.
What size bottles will Pegs hold?
All sizes of regular bottles, including large oversize bottles. This remains true even in Max density.
Can I get a higher bottle capacity with the PEG System or with traditional individual bottle wood racking?
All things being equal, with the Peg System at Max density, you increase bottle capacity by the equivalent of two rows/columns in individual wood bottle racking.
How do the Peg panels affix to the wall?
There are a number of ways to affix these panels to the wall, depending on the application:
How do Peg panels ship?
Panels ship pre-assembled in custom-built coffins/crates. Shipping costs are generally higher than wood wine racks given the weight of the metal.
How large can Peg panels be constructed?
Peg panels are generally constructed in 4’ x 8’ panels. Multiple panels are required to fill a large wall and they are connected with fasteners and biscuits (supplied by Genuwine). Wood grains are observed to ensure a seamless match between panels.
Oversized panels are generally available and are often an attractive option if a seam can be eliminated. Oversize panels carry a premium cost and often involve longer turnarounds.
Can you vary the bottle configuration to create custom shapes/layouts?
Yes. Additional design charges may apply.
Can panels be produced with a scribe (oversized) to allow for trimming on site?
Yes. We just need to confirm how much of a scribe is required.
Do walls need to be reinforced in order to support panels?
Yes. We recommend project site walls be reinforced with ¾” plywood, especially for walls destined to hold large Peg panels. NOTE: Contractor/builder on site will need to determine if structure is adequate.
Is PEG available with unfinished wood?
No. PEG panels with wood backings arrive standard with lacquer finish.
Can I combine the Peg System with other Metal lines? With other wood racking lines?
Yes. All metal and wood racking lines can be combined.
